Turtle Wax Ice Review – Verdict: Not Good

I went to my local Target a month or so ago and picked some of this stuff up. To be exact it’s the Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Clay Bar. It says right on the bottle that it will remove contaminants like tree sap and paint over spray as well as minor scratches and swirl marks. If it does even half of that I’d be happy, but no, it doesn’t do any of that.

I purchased it for the sole reason that I had minor tree sap on my car. I thought that by purchasing a near $20 16oz. bottle of this stuff it would solve that. I do have to say that after 2 hrs of hard scrubbing that it did get some of it up. But when I say hard scrubbing I mean it. I bet you water would have done just as good of a job as this product and I wouldn’t have any streaks and residue after, like this product did. All I can say is this product is worthless. It’s the equivalent of soap and water.

There’s cheaper products that do a better job then this one. This product is worth $4 maybe $5 if you ask me. Definitely not the $15 or $20 sticker price.

I am sorry, but I seriously have to disagree with Michael here with the performance of this liquid clay bar wash. I started using the Turtle Wax Ice products about a year ago and was very pleased with the results. I can not however, compare this clay system with others as this is the first I have used. But, It does work. It has always removed the spider-like swirl marks on my paint from the brushes at the self serve car wash. And, It has consistintly removed road tar from the paint close to the street. I really hate road repaving. Anyway, I think the liquid clay wash works very well and am even more impressed when I apply the liquid wax polish from Turtle Wax Ice.
